One lane of the Sydney Harbour Bridge was closed for one hour after a British man and a young lady fainted whilst doing the Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb.
Ambulance crews attended the scene around 11am on Sunday 6th November.
A spokeswoman for the NSW Ambulance Service said that a man from the UK which was in his late 60s and a woman in her early 20s were rescued by the Special Access Casualty Team.
Lane eight of the harbour bridge reopened at about an hour and a half later.
Australia’s, BridgeClimb Sydney has celebrated their 13th anniversary in style today with songs from the summit of the Sydney Harbour Bridge sung by Australia’s leading choral organisation, Sydney Philharmonia Choir.
The Sydney Philharmonia Choir’s beautiful serenade rang through the air from 134 metres above Sydney Harbour as they sang the ‘Hallelujah Chorus’ and ‘Happy Birthday’.
In a double celebration, one lucky Bridge Climber who has the same birthday as BridgeClimb, David Lawrence from Epping, NSW was extremely surprised with a very unique 50th celebration as the choir welcomed him to the Sydney Harbour Bridge’s summit in song.
